9/11

Today on September 11th, we saw lots of flags proudly displayed.  We stopped to recognize the day at a well kept roadside memorial at Silver Ridge, ME.

We left Bagor with a clear expectation of rain today, the skies were grey and we had a light mist for most of the first hour.  We planned for the rain, in fact, we all wore rain pants and we were ready to slip into our rain jacts quickly if the rain became heavy.  Of course right after our little break (which would have been a perfect time to put on our rain jackets)  the rain began.  It came down so hard, we were already wet by the time we pulled over to put on our jackets.

About 10 minutes later, we pulled into the River Cafe in Island Falls.  We had a nice lunch and missed the worst of the rain before continuing.
